Course is based on the styles of the great course architects, but it's not a replica course. Therefore, the routing flows freely and the holes are interconnected. The area is beautiful, the course is playable without being overly penal, and it's worth the 80-mile drive to play a couple of times a year. I paid the senior rate, but for the experience I believe the course gives good value. I only wish that, in keeping with the history it emphasizes, that it encouraged walking more (it's a very walkable course).

While being a very well maintained course the price was $100 dollars. I will note that its possible the price does allow for a less crowded golf course. Less people willing to pay the $100.

The Architects Golf Course provided us with a fun and eventful day. The first nine holes, although maintained nice, was nothing special. The last nine holes on the other hand really provided some challenging shots and beautiful course design. Overall, the course had some challenging holes and my playing partners all really enjoyed the round. I would recommend playing this course during the off-season or during the weekdays because in my opinion I do not believe the course is worth paying the $110 charged on the weekends. THE VIEW FROM ALMOST ANY HOLE IS FANTASTIC. SCENTIC BEAUTY. SOME VERY INTERESTING HOLES. THE CUT OF THE FAIRWAYS IS GREAT. THE GREENS ARE FAST. SMART PLAY IS A MUST.

This is a very good course, but to my mind it is not competive in price with other very good New Jersey courses. I feel it is overpriced by 20-25%.

I played at senior rate which was excellent. Bad Points: Too many cart restrictions (several holes blocked out, one hole had carts limited from the last 175 yards to green). Many tee boxes not maintained at all - just plain awful. Too many par 4's with very similar yardarge. Good points: nice layout with some interesting hole designs. Very nice course service and food/dining/bar much, much better than most - and they have great deals. Nice place to play and dine afterwards.
